Marine Life is an infographic I created to show what diversity there is even in the most uninhabitable parts of the ocean, and at what depths you can find certain creatures. I wanted the infographic to be simple and illustrative, but still legible in it’s content, which led to a few design decisions. Originally I was going to paint in each creature in full color, but line art proved more cohesive and easier to read. Additionally, I knew the graphic was going to be very long, so I created sections that I could print smaller tiles and have them stand alone as a smaller infographic, or put together to look like one long poster.
